Our Experience with SoftSoap

We use hand soaps here in the office at Sasily quite a bit so we decided to replace the ones we had with Softsoap for a while to see how it would work.

We all agree that it is not as drying as many of the other brands that we tried. However, what we did notice is that you have to rinse your hands very well to get all of the soap off of them. If not, you will end up with a slick residue that will leave your hands a little sticky.

I have a habit of moisturizing my hands after washing them already but I found that my hands did feel just slightly tight after washing. It was not a super dry feeling but I still felt like I needed to moisturize.

All in all, we all agree that it’s a good enough hand soap and the price point is pretty great too!

Can you use Softsoap hand soap on your body or face?

You should not use the Softsoap Hand Soap on your body or face.

It was not designed to be used on your face or body. It might cause irritation.

Can it help with acne?

If you happen to get acne on your arms or hands, then this soap might help. However, I do not recommend using this. It is highly scented and contains other dyes and ingredients that could irritate your sensitive skin.

It is not designed to treat acne and you should not use it on other parts of your body or face.

Better soaps for acne are ones with salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide.

Side Effects Of Using The Softsoap Handsoap

The main side effects associated with using this hand soap are irritation and allergic reactions (very rare but always a possibility).

If you are sensitive to strong fragrances and dyes then this soap might not be best for you.

Also, as always, I recommend that you check your ingredients list to make sure that you are not allergic to any of the ingredients that are included in the formula. If you are unsure, I recommend that you do a patch test first for a few days to see how your skin will react.
